Several European countries have reported outbreaks of a severe strain of bird flu, the World Organisation for Animal Health said on Thursday, while France raised safety checks to counter the virus which can have a major impact on farmers. China Says Tech Firms Pledge to Counter Online Terror Activities

Twenty-five Chinese technology companies have signed a pledge to counter images and information online that promote terrorism, the Internet regulator said on Tuesday, months after China passed a controversial new anti-terrorism law.
