Uber redoubled efforts to launch its services in Argentina on Friday by offering five days of free rides even as authorities cracked down on the rideshare company’s operations. Taxi aggregator Uber has cut fares by up to 22 percent in 10 non-metro cities including Pune and Ahmedabad, a move that will intensify competition with domestic rival, Ola. Uber said Tuesday it received more than 400 requests from US law enforcement agencies in the second half of 2015, and gave authorities some information in the vast majority of cases.
