Menstruation, menopause, obesity, irregular periods, acne, anaemia are some of the problems that are commonly faced by women.

Here are some natural remedies and ayurvedic herbs that can help prevent and control these problems. We break down which are the herbs you need to improve your health and not let it pin you down.

Painful menstruation
During menstruation or periods you may experience loss of appetite, nausea, vomiting, and constipation. When you have difficulty while passing stool, bleeding and itching around the rectal area you need to have certain herbs like Haritaki or terminalia chebula and Jimikand or Indian Yam. You can also try Abhayarista, an ayurvedic medicine for piles.

To prevent and reduce piles, it is recommended to flush out the intestine, drink water and exercise. Avoid constipation with a rich fibre diet.

Have a diet rich in iron; consume vegetables like spinach, nuts, beetroot, red meat, apples, amla and plum. Soak in the sun too as it increases the production of red blood cells.
