BENEFITS OF CUMIN: Another strongly flavoured spice, cumin is originally a native to the Mediterranean countries. Cumin is loaded with potassium, iron and dietary fiber. Cumin seeds also contain small amounts of vitamin C, E and K. Cumin can help eliminate body fat and decreasing unhealthy cholesterol levels.
THE RECIPE: All you need is one tablespoon of cumin seeds (either whole or powdered) and add it to 500 ml of water. Bring this water to a boil and let it reduce to half its volume (approximately 250 ml- one glass). If you wish to enhance the flavour of this drink, you can add cinnamon and cardamom with a dash of lemon juice (freshly squeezed). Strain this combination and have this as your morning drink for ten days for best results. Follow this up with a minimum of 45 minutes exercises and proper diet.
