Antibiotics sales for use in US farm animals rose in 2015, FDA reports

LOS ANGELES –  U.S. sales and distribution of antibiotics approved for use in food-producing animals increased 1 percent from 2014 to 2015, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration said in a report on Thursday. FDI Inflows Into India Rise 37% in 2015

New Delhi: Foreign direct investment (FDI) into the country increased 37 per cent to $39.32 billion during 2015. The foreign investment inflows stood at $28.78 billion in 2014, according to data by the Department of Industrial Policy and Promotion (DIPP). The computer hardware and software sector attracted the highest FDI, followed by services, trading business, automobiles and chemicals. Chinese telecom equipment maker ZTE Corp revised down its 2015 net profit on Wednesday due to export curbs imposed by the US Commerce Department for alleged violations of sanctions against Iran. Shenzhen-based ZTE said its 2015 net profit rose 22 percent to CNY 3.2 billion ($493.3 million or roughly Rs. 3,277 crores).
