A global study on a range of health indicators released today has ranked India 143rd among 188 countries, citing various challenges, including mortality rates, malaria hygiene and air pollution. “Despite rapid economic growth, India was ranked 143rd, below Comoros and Ghana,” the first annual assessment of Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) health performance published in the Lancet and launched at a special event at the UN General Assembly in New York said. According to a study, obesity is more prevalent in patients who are diagnosed with cancer, particularly among survivors of colorectal and breast cancers. The study, published in the Journal of Clinical Oncology suggested that obesity is a growing public health burden for cancer survivors, which requires targeted interventions, including weight management efforts. The results of the research were based on data from a nationally representative sample of 5,38,969 non-institutionalised adults aged 18 to 85 years with or without a history of cancer. London: Mumbai and Bangalore are among the cheapest cities in the world, according to a top London-based forecast group that named Singapore as the most expensive city. Economist Intelligence Unit (EIU) ranked Singapore as the priciest ahead of Zurich, Hong Kong, Geneva and Paris.
