Today, Google has confirmed that it will be hosting its I/O event this year live from the Shoreline Amphitheater. The event will mostly take place online, with some of it likely to be livestreamed from the venue. In a statement to The Verge, it is noted that “This year’s event will be broadcast in front of a limited live audience, and is completely free and open to everyone virtually,”. Health authorities in the southern Chinese province of Guizhou have confirmed a new human case of H7N9 avian influenza, state radio said, bringing the total number of human infections of the highly pathogenic strain to 19 this winter. The 49-year old man, who is a chicken trader, was being treated in hospital in Qiannan prefecture, the report said on Sunday.
