Is eating Poha everyday in breakfast good for health?

Poha has traditionally been among India’s favourite breakfasts and no one treated it as unhealthy, till a few years ago, when the Indian market began to be flooded with ‘healthy’ grains from abroad like oats and quinoa. Call it the result of their brilliant marketing or our bad luck, our traditional breakfasts suddenly became unhealthy foods. Poha has nearly 76.9% of carbohydrates and 23.1% of fats and 0% of protein. Hence it is a good breakfast option as your body needs energy in form of carbs in the morning.

Made of rice, poha is rich in vitamin B and hence good for controlling blood sugar.

Poha, does not contain any protein, but when cooked in the traditional way, peanuts are added to it, making it a protein rich breakfast.
