The FBI’s method for unlocking an iPhone belonging to one of the attackers in San Bernardino, California, would only work on a very “narrow slice” of devices, according to the bureau’s director. Asus earlier this week posted two separate changelogs on its forum for updates it is now rolling out to the Asus ZenFone Zoom (ZX551ML) and the Asus ZenFone 2 Laser (ZE601KL). The FBI has not decided whether to share with Apple details about how the bureau hacked into an iPhone linked to a California terrorism investigation, the bureau’s director says.
