Online application process for postgraduate, MPhil and PhD programmes in Delhi University will now start from June 7. Applications for nine undergraduate courses that have an entrance test will also open on the same day. Students were to be able to apply for these courses starting May 31. Shreya Chauhan of Saupin’s School, Panchkula, bagged the top position across the tricity in the Council for Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE) Class 10 results that were declared on Monday evening. The 16-year-old daughter of Manimajra-based businessman SPS Chauhan, Shreya scored 98% marks. 3,800 Mumbai parents protest against fee hike, write to CM demanding refund

Stepping up their attack against schools flouting norms pertaining to fee hike, parents wrote to chief minister Devendra Fadnavis on Sunday and demanded it roll back claiming that it violates the Maharashtra Educational Institutions Regulation of Collection of Fee Act, 2011. Ramadan school timings announced by Ministry of Education

DUBAI // Public school days in Dubai and the Northern Emirates will be shortened to five hours during Ramadan, the Ministry of Education announced on Monday. Classes will last 40 minutes each with girls schools beginning at 9am and ending with the seventh period at 2.15pm.
