Uganda yesterday launched the first investment window to seek to harness the financial muscle of the world’s leading hotel and lodge operators to raise vital funds to support and protect Uganda’s wildlife. The offering, which is being facilitated by the conservation charity Space for Giants and its partner the African Wildlife Foundationunder the Giants Club initiative, involves some of the most important wildernesses in the county. Amazon opens largest fulfilment centre near Hyderabad

E-commerce giant Amazon on Thursday opened its largest fulfilment centre near Hyderabad with the view to enhance customer experience ahead of the festive season. The four lakh square feet facility with a massive storage capacity of 2.1 million cubic feet has come up at the Rajiv Gandhi International Airport in Shamshabad, about 20 km south of Hyderabad. Mobile phone manufacturer Micromax on Thursday opened its new manufacturing facility which will have the capacity to manufacture one million mobile phones per month. The unit, which opened at Fab City in Hyderabad, currently employs 700 people and will increase the number to 1,000 in next two months.
